Flower Pot (Vase hollandois)
This type of pot was used for growing plants and bulbs, which were watered through the holes on the base. This example is decorated with a dark blue ground with circular and rectangular reserves of flowers and harbor scenes painted by Jean-Louis Morin (1754-1787).
