Ceremonial Water Vessel

1736-1795 (Qing dynasty (1644-1911)) 4 13/16 in. (12.3 cm) Citation Source image

The motifs and shape are inspired by ceremonial water vessels of the 10th century BCE. The glazes are intended to suggest the patina of an inlaid bronze long buried in the earth.
