Source Description

Camille Fauré, the foremost Limoges enameller of the 20th century, specialized in thickly enameled wares that usually incorporated geometric or figurative patterns. In this instance, however, green and gold stylized flower blossoms have been superimposed over a blue ground. The abstract motifs, gleaming surfaces, and vibrant colors of Fauré's enamels are features associated with the Art Deco movement of the 1920s.
