Source Description

Various insects are depicted on this tsuba. On the front are two crickets. One cricket is at the upper right, just above the plugged hole for the hair pick. The second cricket is at the lower left. A butterfly is at the upper left, above the utility knife hole and a moth is at the lower right below the hole for the hair pick. On the reverse, a rhinoceros beetle is in the lower left.
