Source Description

The front edge of the fuchi is incised with bush clover, one of the celebrated autumn plants. On the reverse is the first character of the artist's name. The second character is on the matching koi-guchi kanagu that frames the opening for the sword in the hilt. When the sword is sheathed, the artist's name can be read. This is part of a mounted set.
