Binding from Book of Kings (Shahnama)
This non-original binding from Walters manuscript W.602 dates to the 13th century AH/AD 19th. It is composed of Qajar-style lacquer boards (no flap) and has central ovals and pendants decorated with animal scenes. The doublures are decorated with dentelle-style filigree work.
