Source Description

This steatite scarab has a flat underside with a vertically arranged bottom design of symmetrical spiral scrolls. The design of the back is simple, the proportions of the top are almost balanced, and the workmanship of the piece is slightly rough.This scarab functioned as an amulet with a regenerative connotation. It was originally mounted or threaded.
