Portrait of Louis Gabriel Moreau (1740-1806), known as Moreau the Elder
This terracotta medallion is pierced for hanging. It was previously said to be the portrait of Jean-Michel Moreau (Moreau le jeune), but is more likely that of Louis Gabriel Moreau, l'ainé (brother of the first). The piece is cracked and has some chips on the edges.
