Binding from Incomplete Book of Hours
French green velvet binding, now mostly worn away, from the late nineteenth or early twentieth century, and likely by Léon Gruel. It is tightly sewn, with white and green silk endbands and gilded edges. Traces of a fastener is visible in the middle of fore-edge on both boards.
