Document source description
Izaemon (center) has been through much since he first fell in love with the courtesan Yugiri (right). Raised in wealth, he has been disinherited and forced into homelessness. Yugiri, meanwhile, has become attached to a samurai, who has adopted her son by Izaemon. As an entertainer looks on at the left, the two now have a happy meeting, and word comes that Izaemon's mother will support him, ransom Yugiri, and make it possible for their son to join them.
