Source Description

These four actors are featured together in a "mitate," or imaginary performance, composition. Each print in the tetraptych has a background theme, which is also identified by a Chinese character: flower, bird, wind, and moon (right to left). The actors are identified as follows (from the right): Arashi Rikan II, Seki Sanjuro II, Nakamura Shikan II, and Nakamura Tomijro II.
