My dear Miss Andersens
Tle have just received a letter from Miss
Rosalie Brown, Secretary of the Graduate Nurses' Association of
the District of Columbia, advising us of the nomination for your
appointment as a member of our District of Columbia Co mittee on
Red Cross Nursing Service and it gives us great pleasure to send
you this official letter of appointment.
Although we know you are familiar with the
requirements for Red Gross enrollment, you will no doubt find
the enclosed pamphlet, A.R.C. 703, which has been revised recently,
helpful in giving other nurses information regarding enrollment.
We are also sending you our pamphlet, A.R.C. 710, giving the plan
of organization of committees, calling your attention to pages 6
through 10 which refer to the Local Committees.
We should like to suggest that you attend
the committee meetings that will be called from time to time as
the Chairmen and Secretary need the cooperation of every member
in order thot they may secure the enrollment of nurses in the
District of Columbia and also take care of their other respon-
sibilities.
We are very glad to report that Mrs. Isabelle
W. Baker - 1825 New Hom oshire Ave. N.W., Washington, D. C., is being
appointed Chairman of the District of Columbia Committee at this
time, to succeed Miss Lucy Minnigerode and, of course, you know
that Miss Mary Hawthorne is Secretary.
We appreciate your willingness to serve the
Red Cross on our District of Columbia Commi ttee.
