The mursés arriving for service under the auspices of the Red Cross
should bring to New York with them a sworn statement from some ona who
has known her for 2 years as a letter of identificati n in case she has
no friends in Naw York to identify her at the passport bureau.

The nurses reporting in New Ybrk after 5 P. M. or on Saturday after-
noon or Sunday should communicate upon arrival with the Central Club, 132
East 43rd Street, telephona Murray Hill 8700, Or Park Averne Hotel, 32nd
and 4th Averue, Murray 3500, in order to make arrangements for board.
They will be well taken care of at either of these places until the office
is opened.
We have received a recents ruling from the State Department that women
with brothers in the service cannot be sent to France. Therefore, if you
have a brother in the service it will not be pesible for us to sond you.
lie are enleavoring to have the ruling modified in the case of nurses,
and if you have a brother in the service will notify you as soon as we
have definite information.
