At a meeting of the American nurses association held in 1909.
it was voted to affiliate with the American Red bross and
to cooperate in the organization of a Red Eroso hussing service
Sates in the same year a national Committee on nursing -
Service: composed of fifteen members representing the two
organizations. was appointed.

of uniform standards for the enrollment of Red brass hurses
for the appointment. of State and Local Committees of
