Dear Mrs. Francist
The Chairman has sent to my desk
your letter to him of January 28, 1941. Alice
Hitagerald has been known to me for a good many
years. As Associate Director in the Rockefeller
Foundation I invited Miss Fitzgerald to go to Sien.
Let me assure you that we 111 keep
Miss Fitzgereld's name and qualifications before
us, and that we shall be sure to call upon her
if there is an opening in which she would be
interested.
