I ar a L a 1 D AREA & MAR 3 September 9, 1942 L er Misa LaVerna Fish Harvard a North Carolina State College Infirmary s Raleigh, North Carolina F S 5 My dear Misa Harvard: Your physical has been approved by our Red Cross medical advisor and we are now in a position to offer you the appoint- ment of supervisor with the civilian emergency hospital being set up on the Island of Kauai under the jurisidiction of the O.C.D. in the Territory of Hawaii. This position carries the salary of $150 a month, including room, two meals a day and laundering of uniforms. Your salary will start from the date you arrive in San Francisco as will also the terms of employ- ment with the O.C.D. in accordance with the notification you have already received.
