My dear Doctor Irons: A letter just received from Miss Helen Scott day, whom you have recently examined, nonveys the sad intelligence that she has fallen a victim to a malignant growth. Miss Hay has been connected with the American Red Cross Nursing Service in various important positions in the past, and has more recently since her affliction been the recipient of compensation from this organization. In order hat I may be prepared to give our Clains Committee some account of her present condition, as well as the later aspects of her disorder, I would be very grateful tà you if you could send me a report, with special emphasis upon the newer developments and the prognosis. appreciating an early reply, I remain Very truly yours, National Director, Nursing Service.
