Dear Sir:
I am in receipt of two communications from you following
my request for literature and plans regarding annuities for nurses.
Manifestly the first thing necessary is to tell you of my case
briefly and see if I qualify for undertaking any of your plans.
I am 61 years old, retired perforee on account of health
having arterio sclerosis, a "stroke" last March 13. While I suffer
from much paralysis in speech, limbs, etc., I am quite independent in
personal care, thoigh wi thout strength for any serious work, and
obliged to have a housekeeper always on account of complicating
illnesses that render me temporarily helpless - extreme dizziness
so I cannot walk.
I have a small income that has sufficed with some help
from American Red Cross in which I served August 1914 until June
1922 at home and abroad. Last post being Director, Nursing Service
for American Red Cross in Europe January '20 to June '22. I shall
be glad to hear from you further as to whether I qualify Though
I fancy I don't.
