My dear Miss Petersen:
I am referring to you a request for
information which has come to this office. I was
asked to try to locate a Mrs. Kidd who was sent
abroad during the War as a Red Cross Nurse. She
enrolled from Marietta, Ohio. After the War, she
was sent into Siberia and as I gather it, for
some reason it was necessary to send a rescue squad
into Siberia for her. This squad was supposedly
from Company H. 31st Infantry.
Do your records show anything regard-
ing this woman and if so, where was she to be fo und
when her whe reabouts were last known? I could get
no further information from the woman who called.
She did not know Mrs. Kidd's first name but was
positive she enrolled under that name. I will be
very grateful for any information you may be able
to give us regarding this.
Very sincerely yours,
Love E Used
