My dear Miss Lake:
We are indeed greatly pleased to learn
through a letter just received from Mrs. Elsbeth Vaughan
that you have consented to accept appointment as Chair-
man of the Colorado State and Local Committee on Red
Cross Nursing Service to succeed Miss Welch. In view
of your past service as Commi ttee Chairman, we feel that
the Colorado State and Local Committee is very fortunate
that you are again available for this service and we will
ask you to consider this letter as your official authoriza-
tion as Chairman of the Colorado State and Local Committee
on Red Cross Nursing Service.
