Dear Gertrude Madley:
It is EO nice to get your letter. Under separate
cover I am happy to send you a. new photograph.
Thank you for the letters from the nurses. I
love to get any nows of them. Yes, I agree with
you that the Harvard Unit brought all of U.S. who
were connected with it very close indeed. Re-
cently in New York I saw Helen Juremics for the
first time. Although it we.e the first time I
had ever seen her, I felt as if she were an old
and very dear friend almost a member of my
family.
We are thinking all the tine about ways and means
of using Nurse's Aides and other nursing auxiliaries,
but as you can readily understand it is difficult
to find any one plan which fits all needs and at
present the organization of Nurse's Aides and also
the Home Nursing program seem to ,be the two major
points on which we can best concentrate.
With love as always,
Your very sincere friend,
Mary Board, Director
Miss Gretrude Madley
Herman Kiefer Hospital
Detroit, Michigan
