Miss Veta B. Markley,
4058 North 12th Street,
B
Quincy, Illinois.
My dear Miss Markley:
lauch
I am indeed glad to receive your letter of the
17th ultimo, expressing your continued interest in your enroll-
ment as an American Red Cross nurse. May I explain that you did
not receive a Roll Call letter in view of the fact that we had
never been advised of your release from service with the Navy
Nurse Corps and expected you to report with the other nurses in
Navy service. Your response has been properly credited, however,
and we will immediately proceed to have your records properly
filed. Inasnuch as you are living in Quiney, Illinois, we are
immediately forwarding your enrollment records to our Central
Division, which has jurisdiction over the state of Illinois and
of which Mrs. Elsbeth Vaughan, 660 Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois,
is Director of the Nursing Service. Mrs. Vaughan will in turn
file your #2 card with the proper Local Dommittee and advise you.
In the future, will you please be sure to keep the Division office
and your Committee informed of any changes which may take place in
your address, in order that your records may be up to date at all
times.
I an also taking this opportunity to enclose an address
questionnaire, such as we are now requesting annually from all our
nurses, asking that you fill in and return the same for our files.
Assuring you of my good wishes, believe me
Very truly yours,
Clara D. Noyes,
Director, Nursing Service.
