Dear Mrs. Amick:
We are a group of Red Cross Nurses who are employed by the
Office of Civilian Defense on the island of Maui.
Sine the time of our arrival, we have felt thet we have not
been doing our share to further the war effort. Vie understand thore
are Red Croas Units being sont to sreas where their services are greatly
needed. Is there a possibility of our being transferred to another
overseas area?
We would greatly appreciate any consideration and information
you may be able to ive us. We will be willing to sign a waiver for
any physical defect that would be necessary.
If changes cennot be made, we sre considering resigning from
the 0. C. D., as we feel thet our services are needed more at home.
