    "ocrText": "June 6, 1925\nMiss Incy Minnigerode,\nMarine Hospital,\nNewport News, ya.\nMy dear Miss Minnigerode:\nPerhaps it will cheer you up this warm day\nto know that we have just received a notification from the Internat-\nional Committee of the Red Cross Committee of Geneva, in which they\nnotify us that you have been awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal\nfor service rendered with the American Red Cross Unit to Kieb, Russia,\nin 1914 and 1915, and for service with the American Red Cross Head-\nquarters in 1917 and 1918. The Medal has not yet reached us, but as\nsoon as it does we will send it to you.\nin\nthe\nI hope this finds you very much better. The\nheat is intolerable here, but no warmer than Boston where I was obliged\nto spend two days, returning this morning. In fact, it seemed much\nwarmer there than it does here. That probably is illigination.\nYour note has just been received. I am sail-\ning on the \"Drottingholm\", Swedish American Steamer. Probably your\nfriends are not sailing on that boat. If they are, please tell them\nto look me up. Miss Eldridge, Miss Lawler, Miss Stewart and Miss\nFrances are sailing with me. There may be others, but I do not know\nwho they are.\nI am sorry you troubled to send back the\nbook. I would have told you to pass it on to some others if it had\nbeen mine. I enjoyed reading it and as you are fond of mystery stories,\nI thought perhaps you might also like to read it.\nDo not trouble to write, for I know every-\nthing is an exertion.
