Nurse 26516\nI have had occasion to suspect Miss Elizabeth Wilson of\npartaking of liquor recently, but the suspicion has not been suffi-\nciently substantiated to cause the Department of Nursing to feel that\nit is justified in returning her to the States. She has confessed to\nme that she drank while enroute, and has told me that she made a\nstatement to this effect to Major Emerson on arrival in Vladivostok.\nMiss Wilson claims that most of the other nurses on the boat took\nliquor also. I have questioned Miss Webster, Nurses Aid, who is a\nfine type of woman, and she states very frankly that in this Miss\nWilson is correct. She said that light wine was served at dinner,\nand most of the nurses partook. She thinks that Miss Wilson did\nnot become intoxicated. Her cabin was next to Miss Wilson's.\nAnna L.
