THE AMERICAN RED CROSS PENNSYLVANIA - DELAWARE DIVISION HEADQUARTERS 134 SOUTH SIXTEENTH STREET PHILADELPHIA, PA. INTER-OFFICE LETTER To Mrs. Elsbeth Vaughan, Acting Director, Date March 13, 1919. Bureau of Field Nursing Service, Washington. From Miss Susan C. Francis, N.S.Rep. Subject Your letter March 11, 1919 Elizabeth G. Wilson #26516. --Edna Earle Pugsley #32509 I have your letter of March 11, 1919, enclosing a copy of the letter of instructions issued to the nurses who are being considered for service with the"First Group of Nurses for Siberia". I note no mention is made as to the transportation from the home of the nurse to San Francisco. I sent to you yes- terday an inquiry regarding this matter, this question having been put to me by Miss Elizabeth G. Wilson, #26516, of Pittsburgh. As you realize, in the case of a nurse whose home is in Pennsyl- vania this transportation would be a considerable sum. I am sure, however, that the local chapters would be glad to advance same in case of necessity, should you deem this an advisable plan.
