On my return from a Roll Call tour I
find your letter of November third in which you
speak so highly of Miss Nelson and the way in
which she is tackling her work. It was thoughtful
of you to send me this very kind letter and I
thoroughly appreciate it. I felt sure that we had
picked the right person when we chose Miss Nelson
and continue to feel that we were very fortunate
in getting her. Her letters to us since her
appointment have shown an immediate and thorough
grasp of every situation concerning which she has
written, and also, it seems to me, have shown
remarkable judgement. She seems enthusiastic over
her work and though she recognizes the many problems
connected with it, I do not catch any note of
discouragement. I am very glad that we have her and
that she is so satisfactory to you.
