Dear Miss Dunbar:
in
c
Miss Caroline O'Connor called me to inquire about her status
-
as far as Red Cross is concerned. She had some connection with Red Cross Service
as a nurse in 1942. Was unable to find out just what over the telephone. She
wants to go into the A rmy Nurse Corps or into nursing at Veterans or an Army
hospital in a civilian capacity.
If there is some reason why she cannot go into any of these services,
will you please let me know. From what she told me, there maybe a reason why she
cannot go into government service due to something that happened while she was
in Honolulu in 1942.
I do not know this nurse personally, but told her I would write you
and your answer would be final as far as any government work was concerned. Her
address the last time she wrote you was 2055 Turk St., San Francisco.
Would appreciate an early reply. Thanking you, I am,
Yours sincerely,
