Confirming our conversation this morning
we would like to state our position as follows.
Government has indicated that it may
be requesting from The UNRRA Chinese toward the end of this year a group of

teaching which would include four nurses. We would
nature of the communications so far received from the Chinese

to consider personnel your but name as a that possibility owing to for the filling indefinite one
Government, we are unable to give you any definite appointment
at the moment.
We hope that, if you are taking up any other
work in the next f ew months, you could do so bearing in mind
our hope that you can go to China under UNRRA'S auspices when
such a specific request from the Chinese Government has been
received.
