This is to adviae you that I do not care to accept the
position which you have created for ne as Assistent Director of
Public Health Nursing and Home Hygiene. No doubt you realize
that the humiliation you subjected ne to yesterday would invite
a resignation.
I shall be glad to assist in any way I can in the carry-
ing forward of our aummer session progran or any other Home Hygiene
matters that need my attention, with the understanding that I may
continue as National Pirector of Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick
instruction as long as I remain with the Red Cross. If it is not
possible for you to consider such an arrangement, my resignation
oan
take effect July lst. Due to the fact that you have given ne,
a person of some responsibility in your organisation, one week's
notice regarding the discontinuing of my present position, I would
like to have your decision at your earliest convenience.
