June 12, 1931 Miss Rosa M. Schladweiler, R.N., Madison Minnesota. My dear Miss Schladweilert We are exceedingly sorry to learn by your letter which has just been received, that because of a bazzle failure it will not be possible for you to go to Fort Collins this summer. We are wondering if a loan and a grent from the scholarship fund for Home Hygiene Instructors would help you. For instance, if your expenses would be $200 one-fourth of the amount, or $50, could be requested as a grant which need not be returned, and $82 - the difference between the grant and two-thirds of the total expenses - could be requested as a loan repayable without interest within one year following completion of the course. The grants have been very limited this year but we believe an exception could be made in your case if by 80 doing you could take advan- tage of this work. We are enclosing an application blank which should be filled out if you decide to make application for a scholarship. Trusting the loss will not be permanent, Very sincerely yours, Mrs. Isabello W. Baker, R.N., National Director Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick Service. IWB B/W el to this King End 1245
