Please acknowledge receipt of it on the enclosed\ncard, at your earliest convenience.\nWe wish to remind you that the cape is at all times the\nproperty of the American Red Cross and is only issued to enrolled\nRed Cross nurses on active duty, to be worn with the full regula-\ntion uniform. The cape is not transferable and under no circum-\nstances can it be loaned to another nurse. May we please urge\nyou to guard it carefully and protect it against improper usage.\nWhen you are released from your present Red Cross assignment,\nplease have the cape cleaned and repaired, if necessary, before\nreturning it to this office.
