5 July 11,1942. Miss Marjory B. Storey, 568 Wellington Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. Air Mail My dear Miss Storey: As Mrs. Vaughan told you in your telephone conversation with her yesterday, Miss Dunbar has requested that you report in England as soon as possible. As the Harvard Unit is being taken over by the Army Nurse Corps, Miss Dunbar wants you to understand that your appointment to service will be with the Army Nurse Corps, with appointment to public health. Of course you understand that if the Army decides to make any change about the public health appointment, you will be expected to carry on in whatever type of service the Army wishes to assign you. Miss Dunbar has notified us that you will need just one outdoor Red Cross uniform. Therefore, please wire us at once if it will be necessary for us to reorder for you one Knox hat and one suit. We will not order shirts, but will expect you to plan to supply the white blouse necessary to wear with the uniform. You may voucher for this. The following forms need to be returned to this office: One immunization form Designation of insurance beneficiary (2 enclosed; keep one and return one) The following material is for you to keep and use during your trip: Passport (will be forwarded to you by registered mail) ARC 508 Vouchers (2) Exemption certificates (6) Within a few days we will send you a check to cover your transportation from Rochester to New York City, your identification cards, and record of traveler's checks. Sincerely yours, Mrs. Ernestine B. Amick, Assistant to the Director, A/H Nursing Service. 41,
