Dated\nExtract from letter from Miss Anna Rogers, Secretary of the\nOctober 12, 1923,\nTo Miss Noyes:\nthe No. 2 cards of 98 nurses. Every effort has been made to reach these nurses\n\"I am sending you, under separate cover, by insured parcel post\nwithout avail. A great many of them have not replied to communications sent\nsince 1917 and some even farther back.\nAt a meeting of the Philadelphia Local Committee on July 24th, this\nmatter be was thoroughly discussed, and a recommendation was made that the Secretary\nfrom authorized to communicate with the superintendents of nurses in the schools\nwhich these nurses were graduated, giving each superintendent a list, and\nasking an them to interest the alumnae associations so that these nurses might have\nopportunity to reply, and prevent their annulment, which motion was carried\nout. About forty nurses replied but the remainder (98), whose No. 2 cards I am\nsending to you, represents those from whom we are unable to obtain any response.\nwith the recommendation that their enrollments be annulled.\nrecommended that the No. 2 cards of these nurses be sent to National Headquarters\nAt a meeting of the committee on October 9th it was unanimously\ntion with so many nurses, but every effort has been made to get in touch with them.\nI regret exceedingly that we have been unable to get in communica-\nCarrying these nurses in our files, with the sending out of the questionnaires\nyearly, means a great deal of work and unnecessary expense to the Chapter, as\nto practically all of these nurses on this list have had, during the past year, two\ntraining schools, etc.\nthree questionnaires in addition to the various communications sent to their\nThe following is a list of the nurses in question:\n#19173- Mrs. mary C.
