Every effort has been made to reach these nurses "I am sending you, under separate cover, by insured parcel post without avail. A great many of them have not replied to communications sent since 1917 and some even farther back. At a meeting of the Philadelphia Local Committee on July 24th, this matter be was thoroughly discussed, and a recommendation was made that the Secretary from authorized to communicate with the superintendents of nurses in the schools which these nurses were graduated, giving each superintendent a list, and asking an them to interest the alumnae associations so that these nurses might have opportunity to reply, and prevent their annulment, which motion was carried out.
