May 7, 1923. Miss Theresa Kraker, Acting Vocational Secretary, National Organization for Public Health Nursing, 370 Seventh Ave., New York City. My dear Miss Kraker: In reply to your two letters first allow me to state that Miss Clara A. Martin is not an enrolled Red Cross/and we have no record on file of anyone by that name. Miss Anna Louisa Tittman has rendered conspicuous service under the Red Cross. Our first record of her is in Tornado Relief work. She was assigned overseas in the Siberian Commission, where she served as a Chief Nurse and where she had an opportunity to display unusual executive and organizing ability. She is very keen and unusually apt in detail work. She is con- scientious, loyal, and has a well balanced sympathy. . Her aptitude is excellent. She was given Grade A. After her return from Siberia, she was Assistant to the Director of Nursing Service, American Red Cross, in our Central Division. We have no record of her work in the Division office, and would refer you to Miss Minnie H. Ahrons, Director, Nursing Service, American Red Cross, 660 Rush St., Chicago, Ill., relative to this. We are very glad indeed to recommend Miss Tittman in the highest terms for any work for which you may have her in mind. Yours very truly, Ida F. Butler, Assistant to the Director, Nursing Service.
