October 14, 1925 Miss Rachel Torrance Central Club for Nurees 132 East 45th Street New York City My dear Miss Torrance: Immediately upon the receipt of your letter I sent it with your expense account to Mr. Swift. He has informed me that you will be sent two checke - your salary check for September, and a separate check cover- ing your salary to October 21st. I hope that this will be satisfactory to you. I have not forwarded your letter to Miss Noyes, as we are not sending any mail on to her unless it is particularly urgent. She has a very busy time ahead of her - is scheduled to speak twice at the Convention, and also to sttend/to be given her by the Third District Nurses of Missouri. From St. Louie she goes to Selma, Alabama, to take part in the State Nursest Meeting) and I am anxious not to have her concerned with anything here at National Headquarters which can await her return. I felt this explanation was due you. I read with interest the notice which you sent Mise No yes about the Exhibit of Bulgarian Handiwork, and hope it will be very successful and net you a good sum for the Bulgarian Nurses' Associ tion. We have been BO interested in Miss Noyes' account of her European travels, and I realize that there is still a great deal she has not told us. I shall be glad when she gete through with these various trips and settles down again at National Headquarters. With best wishes, Sincerely yours Ida F. Butler Assistant to the Director IFB.K Nursing Service
