My dear Miss Delanos
I regret very much to inform you that I feel I shall have
to resign from the Red Cross.
I have been without work since Jan. Ist! I9I8,at which time
I informed you I would be ready for service?I have been informed twice to
that my papers were in the hands of the Surgeon General and to hold myself
ready for travel orders. You realize of course that one cannot get empl-
oyment when expecting a momentary call.
I have written the Surgeon General for information but can
get none from that source.
Please understand I have been at great expenseduring all
this time, ) and , consequently do hereby place my resignation with you.
Thanking you for any favor you may extend I am
