This is entirely against our custom, although Miss Jessup made

Miss Jessup left Salonika March 4th
reaching this country, as you state, on April 3rd. I
see no
reason for having continued her salary beyond that which she was
entitled to, covering any vacation which she may not have had,
particularly in view of the fact that she was receiving the Red
Cross insurance.
