Re: Estate of Yssabella G. Waters
Gentlemen:
As executor of the Will of Yssabella G. Waters late of
Groton, Mass., we have found among her effects a sealed envelope
apparently containing a pin. We have not opened the envelope. On
the outside of the envelope Miss Waters had written as follows:
"In case of my death this pin must be returned
to the Nursing Division, National Red Cross,
Washington, D. c."
It appears from this that Miss Waters did not have complete
title to the pin and that it does not now belong to her estate, but
belongs instead to the Association mentioned above. The residuary
legatee under her Will has waived all claim to this pin. We assume
that you know what the pin is. Please let me know how much insurance
should be placed on the pin when we send it to you and give us any
further instructions which we should have on this matter.
