Helon Scott Hay, Director, Nursing Service, Europe approved by A.C.Burnham, Medical
Director, / PC Europe, recommending that service certificate be granted:
"Miss Von Kurowsky served with the American Red Cross in Europe from March 1920 to
November 1921, serving with the Commission to Roumania till October 1920, as per attached
report from the Chief Nurse. From January 1921 to November, Miss Von Kurowsky was as-
signed to service with the Junior Red Cross in Roumenia, and rendered very satisfactory
service. Below I quote from letter received from Mrs. Moran, Bucharest, in regard
to
Miss Von Kurowsky's service with the T.R.C.
She is an unusually earnest, conscien-
tious worker; lovable to an extraordinary degree, and generous almost to a fault of time
and effort. , I heartily recommend her as entitled to a certificate of merit for
faithful and efficient services."

Lillian Spelian, Chief Nurse to Roumania:
whiss Von Kurowsky has done very good Baby Welfare work during her four months of service
in Roumania. ller ability to acquire a now language quickly makes her especially valuable
for foreign service. She speaks French, Italian, Roumanian and a little German. she
possesses an exceptionally fine disposition. Very bright and cheerful. she is a pe-
tient teacher. der health, on the whole, has been good. she would fit into ARC service
anywhere. Her attitude and spirit has at all times been splendid."
