6 Ata Perperient Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 2th Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty sick PRESENT-Hon John Janetgon the it Rememberrd, That on the to 191 day fiftyes games and free Damagin white of defection in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and of Plymonth in said County of Litchfield, being an alien a person, a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said made Hanigan by him before the bounty boun for Davil country then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actito establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: by STATE OF CONNECTICUT, } ss. COUNTY OF the it That on the 12th day of April A. D. 1854 before the bounly Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. dames Hanigan of County, plymently who was 21 born in years, and on Co. oath did declard declare that in said aged about it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Duee of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, thed? D.Beerrow Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. biza nill to bes binnil Fredench Deeman " Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Manager has resided within the United States five years at least, vernay bill and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Hanigaw having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THEUNITEDSTATES,and that he/did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said games Adamyand be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. of
