45 At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the hundred and fifty Dix 2. Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON John D. Park Judgo the it Remembered, That on the 26 day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Six games Here of Torrington in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Here then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the blerk of the County bourt and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actito establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Sitchfield } ss. the it Remembered, That on the 19. day of August A. D. 1854, before the bleck of the County Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. games Hose of Jorington in said County, who was born in Rosernance b. Ireland aged about 30 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Green of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fredk, D Beeman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Fredenick D, Beeman Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said How has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Hose And the said having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said games Horo be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
