County of Hartford,
Be it Remembered, That Names Cannon
of Suffield
in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Ireland, appeared before the County
Court for, said County of Hartford
held at Hartford, in said County, on the Thirty first day of march
in our one and
the year of Lord thousand eight hundred forty Eight , the said Court being
a
Court of Record, having common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on oath in open
Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce
forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and
particularly to Victoria, Queen
of the United Kindom of Great Britain and Ireland.
An testimony wherrof, I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the Seal of said
