84 STATE OF CONNEOTIOUT D ss. COUNTY OF NEW HAVEN: BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 21st day of march 1853, before me Clerk of the County Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction with a Clerk, and a Seal, personally appeared, Themas Rafferty of Decfac in said County, who was born in Ireland aged about 21 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen difft Osborn of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject.--In TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.
