() Applicant must have an excellent flying record:
Commercial license is preferred, but will accept
private license, if record is satisfactory;
(b ) Must have a minimum of 350 hours logged, of which 200 hours in
2-S or equivalent aircraft;
(c) Age limita - 21 to 35 years; applicants accepted under 21,
provided written consent of parents secured;
(d) Two written references as to character must be furnished
with responsible persons or busine ss concerns;

Character and sense of responsibility rank equally with
flying qualifications;
(f) Map reading and compass flying exervises are preferable
to instrument flying for this type of work;
(8) Applicant must obtain permit from local Draft Board before
leaving United States. The leave of absence permit
should correspond with the term of the contract, which
is for a period of twelve months. Failing this a
minimum of sim months, with the understanding that the
release will be extended for a similar peri od by making
application to the Board for such e xtension. No
difficulty has been experienced in this connection.
(h) Applicant must pass flight test on Harvard or Yale trainer.
REMUNER ATION
Salary is $150.00 per week, American money, and is exempt
from British taxes. Transportation paid t o England and return
from point of origin, and $10.00 per day living expenses durin
transportation period out-bound. On return, a flat $100.00
for expenses. If employed for one year - $500.00 eash in U.S.
money - bonus.
The nature of the work is entirely civilian, and the U.S.
pilots do not lose their United States citizenship, nor are they
required to take the Oath of Allegiance.
