TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH ALLEN DULLES
The Secretary phoned Mr. Dulles (who was with
Gen.Smith) and said, he had just heard that Justice
Douglas granted a stay of execution. Mr. D commented
that that put things in a hell of a mess - it would
not come up until Oft. 4 unless the Chief Justice
called a special session.
