BACKGROUND:
You and Mrs. Ford have invited Senator and Mrs. Robert Griffin,
Congressman and Mrs. John Jarman and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Collier
to be your guests for a performance of "Hello, Dolly" at the Kennedy
Center. As this is strictly a social evening, the event will be treated
as private with travel press pool coverage only. At Mrs. Ford's
invitation, the guests will join you and Mrs. Ford in the Diplomatic
Reception Room and travel in the motorcade to and from the Kennedy
Center. Also at Mrs. Ford's request, Pearl Bailey and some of her
friends will join you in the Presidential Box anteroom following the
performance.
SEQUENCE:
7:30 p.m.
Your guests arrive Diplomatic
Reception Room.
7:40 p.m.
You, Mrs. Ford and your guests board motor-
cade on South Grounds and depart en route John
F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
7:50 p.m.
Arrive Kennedy Center (Garage Level B).
You, Mrs. Ford and your guests proceed via
elevator to Opera House box tier.
