THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
April 29, 1975
MEMORANDUM TO: MRS. FORD
FROM:
SUSAN PORTER
SUBJECT:
Your Photo Session with Civitan International
Officers Today at 5:00 (Diplomatic Reception Room)
The three representatives here for the photo session include:
Mr. M. M. Richards, President, Civitan International
Salisbury, North Carolina
Mr. Frank Bulgarella, Executive Administrator
Birmingham, Alabama
Mr. James Mankin, International Chaplain
Chattanooga, Tennessee
They will present to you an Appreciation Award for serving as
Honorary Chairman of 1975 International Clergy Week which was held
in February. The culmination of that week's activities WSS
held
in Atlanta. You, however, did not attend but did send a message.
The International Conference will be held June 22nd in Florida.
They have been told that scheduling complications will not permit
you to come to Florida but in lieu of that trip you were especially
grateful to have this opportunity to greet them here at the
White House, accept their Appreciation Award and be photographed
with them for their publications.
Only Karl Schumacher will be present and no refreshments will
be served as the three gentlemen will have come from a special
reception in the White House Mess given for all of the leaders
of civic organizations who have today met with the President.
They will also have had a White House tour.
