THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES PRAYER BRUNCH
February 15, 1976
11:00 a.m.
Dress:
Business suit
short dresses for the ladies
Arrival:

11:00 a.m.
your guests will be assembled in the State Dining
Room where juice will be served.
11:15 a.m.
you and Mrs. Ford will be escorted via elevator
to the Grand Hall where you will receive your guests from a
position in front of the Blue Room door between the flags -- your
guests will proceed to the East Room where they will be seated.
NOTE: There will be press coverage of the receiving line only.
After the receiving line, follow guests into the East Room. You
will escort Mrs. Ford to her table and then proceed to the platform
which will be located along the center of the east wall.
Brunch:

Round tables
--
You will make welcoming remarks and then be seated at your
table.
NOTE: Brunch program is attached (Tab A).

After Mr. Boyer sings "Get All Excited, " you will return to the
platform to address your guests.

After your speech, you will return to your table for the remainder
of the program.

The Brunch will conclude with Mr. Boyer singing, "America,
the Beautiful. 11
Departure:

You may wish to invite your guests to have a tour of the Lincoln
Room, Treaty Room, and Queen's Room.

You and Mrs. Ford will bid farewell to your guests and return to
the Family Quarters via elevator.
NOTES:

Military Social Aides will be present.

The Marine Corps String Ensemble will be positioned in the Grand
Hall.

Briefing paper is attached (Tab D).

A White House photographer will be present.

A Bible from you and Mrs. Ford has been personally inscribed to
each athlete or principal guest and will be given to them as they
depart.
