THE WHITE HOUSE
The President today announced his intention to nominate Peter C. Dorsey
of Hamden, Connecticut, to be a United States Attorney for the District of
Connecticut. He succeeds Stewart H. Jones who resigned effective June 22,
1974. This is a four year term.
Since 1963, Mr. Dorsey has been a partner in the law firm of Flanagan,
Dorsey & Flanagan.
He was born on March 24, 1931 in New London, Connecticut and received
his B.S. degree in 1953 from Yale University. He received his LL. B.
degree from Harvard University in 1959 and was admitted to the Connecticut
bar that same year.
Mr. Dorsey and his wife Cornelia reside in Hamden, Connecticut, and have
four children.
